White Elephant Sale starts Saturday, October 23 at 9am. The sale will go on both Saturday and Sunday

ITBS Testing begins next week - Monday, October 4: Kids be sure to get plenty of rest.

Jr. Youth is Back! - The first meeting of the year will be on Sunday, October 10 at 5pm. All 6th, 7th and 8th graders are invited to attend. Contact the office if you have any questions.

Annual Fall Bazaar - Sunday, October 24: The bazaar is right around the corner! Make sure you sell your raffle tickets and turn them in as soon as you can.

Barbeque Dinner & Family Fun Night

Barbeque Dinner & Family Fun Night Saturday, September 25 at 6pm in the Parish Center- Join us for a delicious bbq dinner catered by Mojo Barbeque followed by our family fun night. Dinners can be taken to go or you can eat with us and stay for the family fun night. Tickets are available in the Church Office or in the gathering area after mass. You can also download the flyer with order form from our forms page and you can submit that with payment to the School or Church Office by Monday, September 20.

Vacation Bible School

We had a great time on the High Seas expedition. We had 100 participants and over 30 volunteers. We learned about how powerful God’s word can be in our lives. Thanks to all of the volunteers. It would not have been possible without your help. A special thank you to the Sr. youth for helping the week of VBS and for building the incredible highs seas set.

SHOWERS WITH FLOWERS!

This is an exciting fundraiser. For a cost of $12.00 you can have someone’s yard showered with flowers. The flowers are the large plastic windmill yard ornaments. During the night, the yard of the individual(s) that you select to be showered will be filled with flowers and a sign will be posted notifying them that they have been showered with flowers by the youth group. The flowers will remain for 24 hours and will be removed the next evening by the youth group. The individual showered will be given an explanation about the fundraiser and who showered them. All proceeds support St. Matthew’s Senior Youth. Download a form today or call 388-1207 for more information.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Mark your calendar for Vacation Bible School, June 21-25. Join us this year for High Seas Expedition where we will explore the mighty love of God. Registrations for VBS are available in the narthex of the church or online. Look for more information to come on our web site or call 388-1207. We need volunteers. First Communion this Sunday at 10:30am Mass

Please join us and our First Communion Candidates as they receive Holy Communion for the first time at this Sunday's 10:30am Mass. A reception will follow afterward in the parish hall.

St. Matthew's School Summer Camp Registration is going on now!

Registration is now open for St. Matthew's School summer camp with a registration fee of $40 per child. After May 3rd, the registration fee will increase to $50 per child. Weekly rates and information can be found on the school website at www.stmatthewscs.org

Soup & Stations this Friday
Join us for a soup and bread meal from 5:30pm to 7pm in the parish hall. Living Stations will start 7:30pm in the Church. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall, everyone is invited to attend.

Parish Family Fun Night
Join us for our Parish Family Fun Night this Saturday, February 27 right after the 5:30 mass in the Parish Hall.

We’ll be selling Bingo cards to play. Prizes will be awarded for each game and game winners will be entered in the raffle for our grand prize package. Pizza, salad, snacks and drinks will be for sale .

No tickets to buy just show up for a night of games and fellowship. All proceeds go to Sr. High Youth Ministry. Call Onie at 388-1207 for more information

Great Adventure Bible Study
The new parish bible study is a huge hit! We have roughly 80 attending our Bible Study and we would love to have more. There is still time to join the bible study, Contact the Church Office (388-8698) if you would like to register or for more information.

Lent starts next week on Ash Wednesday, February 17
Be sure to pick up your tickets for the Ash Wednesday Fish Fry at mass this weekend. You can also pick up tickets from the Church Office.

No School Friday and Monday
St. Matthew's Catholic School has a Teacher's Planning Day this Friday, also Monday is President's Day so kids enjoy your 4 day weekend!

No Religious Ed Class on Wednesday, February 17
No class for Religious Education this Wednesday, February 17. We ask that you join everyone in celebrating Mass for Ash Wednesday.

The Great Adventure Bible Study has begun! The bible study is taking place on Tuesday morning and evenings in the Parish Center. There is still time to join this wonderful bible study.
